Faithful to Old Bones

Israel is in a famine & King David is told it’s because of Israel’s former King (who is now dead). Even after David accepts the request of the Gibeonites (handing over 7 of King’s Saul’s descendants to be dismembered), the famine still continues. Rizpah (one of Saul’s concubines) teaches David an important lesson, that makes David dig up the old buried bones of Saul. Then the famine ends.

It’s one of the most difficult passages of Scripture to understand and try to comprehend what God wants to teach us. It’s easy to just ignore the questions that arise, but this message will focus on wrestling with the text and what we can learn.
