The Cross event brought disappointments to seemingly every class of people involved. The Disciples, His followers, The Jewish Leaders, even Pilate a non-Jewish person. But broken dreams would ultimately be changed for the followers of Jesus. For God would revived those broken dreams.
Throughout Jesus’ life on earth, he was pushed to not go to the cross, but He was determined to reach Jerusalem. Yet, it was a hard struggle for him for he knew what Jerusalem meant, the cross; but, still, His mission in life mean that He MUST journey on “today, tomorrow and the next day”.
For Paul, nothing revealed God’s love more than the cross. Yet, for God, love became a cross because his love was reciprocated. This sermon looks how Paul changed as a result of coming to experience God’s love as manifested in the cross.
